A Massachusetts woman died after attempting to rescue her dogs from a fire, according to an NBC local station. Another person is injured and several animals died in the tragedy.
Flames broke out in the house and a couple escaped safely, but one woman entered the fire to help rescue more than a dozen dogs. Many of the animals were in cages inside the home.

The fire is currently being investigated by Holliston Fire and Police and State Police assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal. No firefighters were injured.
“One of occupants went in to get dogs and try to save them,” Holliston Deputy Fire Chief Mark Dellicker said. “First crew went in to second floor and found her and got her out.”
