After traveling 2,000 kilometers, 7 rescue lions finally reach their home at an animal sanctuary where they will be well taken care of.

FOUR PAWS, the global animal welfare organization, rescued the 3 female and 4 male lions in September. They were being exploited and badly cared for in Romania.

Two out of the 7 lions required special care after being severely neglected, but they all seemed to recover completely.

They were taken to Felida Big Cat Sanctuary, where traumatized and injured big cats can go to be taken care of. If they recover, they are then taken to the LIONSROCK Big Cat Sanctuary in Africa to live out the rest of their lives.

Tigers in America also helped to fund this rescue and transportation of the 7 rescue lions. Making it possible for FOUR PAWS to give them the care that they needed and deserved.

All 7 lions will now live out the rest of their lives in a sanctuary that is designed just for them. They can do all of the things that normal lions should do while being cared for around the clock.

This is a very happy ending for these lions that were once used as entertainment for people. Now they can just be lions as nature always intended.
