I love reading stories of how people finally connect the dots on what actually happens to animals in order for us to eat them and realise that vegans aren’t irrational, preachy killjoys but are actually only portrayed that way by a media in the pocket of the meat and dairy industries.
I am so glad that your wife saw past the fear causing Gertie’s behaviour problems and that you and she ended up with such a great connection. And, I love hearing about how folk resuce animals destined for the slaughterhouse – if I ever win the lottery that’s exactly my plan!
