With severe animal shelter overcrowding, many shelters are having to take drastic steps. Many southern shelters are euthanizing dozens of animals to control the populations and be able to provide adequate care to the animals.

When a friend asked if this group of animals lovers could help rescue some puppies that might meet such a fate, they sprung into action. The group contacted Michael Young, a university professor and pilot that has helped save 7,000 dogs through Alabama Puppy Rescue Flights.

The dogs were given to Florida rescue volunteers and taken to Orlando shelters. They have all since been adopted and have gone to their forever homes!

This is the perfect example of how big a difference anyone can make. Shelters are constantly overcrowded and can always use more people and resources to help them take care of all the animals that come in. These puppies got a second chance at life, and every other shelter animal should get that chance as well.
