Admit it — you are are a bit obsessed with looking at photos of animals. That’s okay, we are too! Cows, pigs, dogs, turkeys, cats … you swoon at the sight of a photo of one of these cuties. Better yet is seeing a rescued animal living their best life at a farm animal sanctuary. For animal lovers, there is nothing better than scrolling through Instagram and seeing a pig with a big ol’ grin on their face (to be fair, vegan food photos are also really great to look at too!).

If you’re looking for some animal sanctuaries to follow on Instagram, check out the list below to get started!

1. Leilani Farm Sanctuary

Located in Haiku, Hawaii, Leilani Farm Sanctuary is a paradise for over 200 rescued animals. Founded by Laurelee Blanchard in 2008 after she left her corporate career, the sanctuary also offers an interactive program to help children learn the importance of compassion as well.

2. Barn Sanctuary

Barn Sanctuary is a refuge for farm animals that allows visitors to come and see a different side to these amazing, emotional, and intelligent animals. Visitors are allowed to play, cuddle, and interact with the animals while learning about the effects of factory farming.

3. Spring Farm Sanctuary

As one of the first farm animal sanctuaries in Minnesota, Spring Farm Sanctuary provides a place of refuge for the abandoned and abused. The sanctuary hopes to inspire change by offering volunteer opportunities and weekly tours.

Located in Grass Valley, California, Animal Place rescues cows, sheep, chickens, goats, turkeys, pigeons; you name it. This dedicated farm animal sanctuary will never turn away an animal in need. There is even a guest house next door to the sanctuary!

7. The Wild Animal Sanctuary

The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado is a place of refuge where over 450 rescued animals including bears, big cats, wolves, camels, and porcupines freely roam on a sprawling 720-acre property.

8. Juliana’s Animal Sanctuary

Located in the Andes Mountains, Juliana’s Animal Sanctuary was founded in 2009 and is the first farm animal refuge of its kind in Colombia, and one of only two such sanctuaries in South America.
