For most of us, it’s hard to fathom how someone could ever be cruel to an innocent animal. Animal abuse cases involving pets can be especially hard to believe. When living with these animals and receiving their love everyday, it’s obvious they are pure and just want to be loved and taken care of. But there are still some people who don’t return that love and instead punish the animals. For instance, a few months ago, a horrible abuse case swept the news after a man shot and dragged his dog down the road just because she gave birth to puppies.

Unfortunately, cases like this just continue happening and these abusers need to be punished accordingly. Recently, a man named Bryan Ellis was one of the latest animal abusers to be caught harming his dogs.

Witnesses saw Ellis pick up one of his two dogs and slam him onto the ground several times while also hitting him. His other dog was brutally dragged along the road. When he was finally taken to safety, he was vomiting from the horrifying ordeal he went through. Both dogs were badly injured by Ellis. People like Ellis are a danger to all animals and to other people too.

It’s not a secret that sometimes animal abuse isn’t punished as severely as it should be. Only recently was animal abuse even made a federal crime. But you can sign this petition demanding justice for these poor dogs and also demanding legislation to ban convicted animal abusers from ever having pets again.
