People living in Parsons, Kansas are living in fear after a series of pet dogs being brutally attacked. Four dogs have already become victims, with the attacks only seeming to grow more violent each time.

The first attack was on Zeus, a miniature Schnauzer who was shot and nearly bled to death. He was found and taken to get medical care and managed to recover. There was a conviction in Zeus’s case after being attacked, but the attacks only continued on from there.

Bleu was the next dog to be shot, and he sadly died of his wounds after major internal damage.

The next attack was on Ranger, a 3-month-old German Shepherd puppy. This attack was even more gruesome as Ranger was decapitated and returned to his owner’s backyard.

A few weeks after this vicious attack, children found the body of Drako, a pit bull mix. He had been wrapped in a blanket and tied with rope, then dumped in a creek. A post mortem showed that Drako had been tortured and most likely died of strangulation.

Local police are taking these horrific killings very seriously, and there is currently a nearly $40,000 reward for any information.

Understandably, local residents are living in fear of what dog may be the next victim. This is an important reminder of how important it is to keep a watchful eye on our beloved pets.
