A video recently went viral on TikTok as it showed the heroic rescue of a dog that was far out at sea. The video showed a man swimming to the dog and helping it get back to his boat.

The man’s friends helped pull the dog onto the boat and to safety. 

The dog was a puppy and was visibly shaken and tired after swimming so far out at sea. A phone number was attached to its collar, so his owner was able to be located.

Apparently, the eager puppy had been on a boat with his owners, jumping at the passing waves. They believed that he had accidentally jumped overboard while playing.

His owners were ecstatic after the frenzy onboard after they discovered the puppy was missing.

At first, the video received a great deal of praise, but people also questioned it. Many believed that the rescue was staged to gain more views on TikTok. This belief was quickly squashed, however, after the owners were contacted.

This was just a purely good deed that was done and deserves all of the praise that it got. The puppy was no worse for wear despite his scary adventure. And hopefully, now his owners will know to keep a more watchful eye on him.
