It’s no secret that Canada Goose is a cruel company. They horribly trap and kill coyotes for their fur and kill geese for the down filling of their jackets. Bill Maher, takes them on in his show, Real Time With Bill Maher, as well as those who choose to wear Canada Goose jackets.
He explains how these jackets are made from the horrible moment a coyote is trapped to when they try to chew their own limbs to free themselves. Then they’re strangled or stomped to death by the people who set the traps.
Maher then talks about geese and the gentle, loyal creatures they are. They mate for life and have proven to mourn and grieve loved ones. However, to make a Canada Goose jacket, they are stunned, shackled, and their throats are slit.
Neither of these animals deserve this horrible treatment just for the sake of a jacket.
Maybe some people just aren’t aware of how these jackets are made, but with this information, we urge people to do better. Until brands like Canada Goose realize that fur is out and down is cruel, consumers can at least make a statement with their money and not support these companies by paying for these unethical, barbaric products.
