There are some unfortunate occasions when the purchasing and “owning” of animals gets out of control. In much the same way there are those who own too many books, clothes or shoes, there are those who house too many animals. Known as hoarders, this is extremely abusive to the innocent and sentient beings. One individual in Reno, Nevada, was found to be hoarding 1,500 rabbits in a situation which was completely out-of-control.

Jackson was one of several rabbits born during the rescue and was very unwell. Frail and small, he needed special care and was taken into foster along with 16 others until they were all well. Jackson is now in perfect health, and although still a bit shy, he is happily living in Best Friends Animal Sanctuary with his friend Peanut.
