PETA is calling for Black Inc Crew star Ceaser Emanuel to have cruelty-to-animals charges filed against him after a video shows him abusing dogs.

The two-minute video from a home security system shows Emanuel kicking one dog and hitting him two times with a folding chair. He then places another dog in a cage before pushing him down a hill.

The video went viral, and soon VH1, the network where Black Ink Crew airs, fired him quickly after. Although Emanuel has admitted to his actions in the video, he says that he was simply breaking up a fight between his dogs. The video camera footage was from his systems, and he says he does not know how it was leaked, but he believes that he is being set up.

The Fulton County Animal Services claims that the statute of limitations hasn’t expired and that he can still be charged for the incident.

“Animal abusers are often repeat offenders,” says PETA Senior Vice President of Communications Lisa Lange. “And this dangerous person must be held accountable and barred from owning any animal.”

Animal abuse is more prevalent than many may think. According to PetPedia, every 60 seconds, an animal suffers from abuse, with more than 65% being dogs. More than 10 million animals die from abuse every year in the US alone, not including the livestock bred for consumption who also suffer immense abuse. Animal abuse happens everywhere and is a serious issue. We need more laws to protect animals and hold abusers accountable. Sign this petition to demand all states make all animal abuse a felony now!
