This stray kitten named Satchel was wandering the streets of Miami all alone with severely injured feet. His previous owners had wrapped a plastic bag around his injured feet and abandoned him outside instead of taking him to see a veterinarian. This poor boy had been suffering for so long before he was found.

After seeing a veterinarian, it was determined that Satchel has a congenital disorder. Despite all the odds stacked against him, his will to live was stronger than his heartbreaking circumstances. Although his previous owners had turned against him when he needed them most, this resilient boy never lost faith in humans.

“Looking at this sweet boy, you would never imagine the struggles he has seen in his short life. What a difference 2 days will make in loving hands. Satchel is on the mend and will be ready for adoption after visiting a specialist and finishing his medication,” said Maria Torres.

Satchel will be safe, loved, and given only the best care for the rest of his days.

Animal abuse is a crime prosecuted on the state level, but way too many states are failing to pass tough laws that will protect animals. In some states, abuse must fall into very specific categories to very specific animal types to be considered a felony. However, in other states, abusing an animal isn’t considered a felony at all.
