While most people want their dogs to be a part of their wedding in some way or another, this couple took a different approach to get their pup in on the event.

Roisin and Hunter Bicklmeier have a golden retriever named Bear, who they knew needed to be included in the festivities. When they planned out their wedding day, they found many different ways he could be involved.

Bear firstly had the very important role of walking down the aisle with his owners. They also had a “Bear’s biscuit bar,” that allowed guests to make little doggie bags to take home to their furry friends!

But one of the most adorable ways he was included on the wedding day was when they added him to their wedding cake. The couple got a little Bear wedding cake figurine that they put on their three-tiered cake made by Kake by Darci. They made it look like Bear had taken a bite out of the cake and even had a little frosting on the dog’s nose.

Roisin told The Dodo, “I told her I had brought a little golden figurine and was wondering if she could put him on the back of the cake as a hidden detail doing something naughty, like dirty paw prints or whatever. She told me she would absolutely incorporate him, and I didn’t actually know what she was planning until I saw it on the day!”
