A chunky black and white cat named Gecek has become the top-rated tourist attraction in the city of Szczecin in Poland. The cat received a perfect 5-star average on Google Maps.

Gacek, pronounced gats-ek means “long-eared bat” in Polish. The highly rated cat has now beaten out Szczecin’s other top tourist spots, including a Pomeranian Dukes’ Castle that was built in 1346. Gacek lives in a covered wooden box on Szczecin’s Kaszubska Street and has for several years. He gets plenty of snacks from locals and passers-by according to news outlet wSzczecinie.

Gacek first became famous when he appeared in a Youtube documentary in 2020 and he even began to bring tourists from neighboring countries like Germany.

Unfortunately, Gacek’s listings have been removed from Google Maps, but it had almost 2,600 reviews prior to being taken off.

“I am very fortunate to have come here and meet this distinguished gentle creature,” one reviewer wrote on the previous listing.

Another reviewer said that they flew all the way from Oslo, Norway, to see the chunky cat.

“As expected, he didn’t pay any attention to me, which made the experience fully wholesome. If I could have a dinner with anyone in the world, I would fly again in an instant to feed him.”

Another person gave him a one-star reading because he “stole a sausage.” A local animal shelter has encouraged visitors not to feed the cat.

If you go to give Gacek a visit, please refrain from feeding him!
