In an extremely controversial decision, Sony has decided to make Spider-Man villain Kraven the Hunter into Kraven the Animal Lover. Following the change of Venom and Morbius, Sony has launched a spinoff movie for another classic Spider-Man villain. Kraven the Hunter is a fictional character in American comic books that are published by Marvel Comics.

The spinoff will be out next year, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Taylor-Johnson told Variety that the character will be “an animal lover and protector of the natural world.”
In comic books, Kraven is a hunter known for hunting the ‘most dangerous game in the world.’ His entire outfit is made of animal skins, including a lion’s face split in half.
Reddit has been in a frenzy since they announced the character changes, with some jokingly calling the new character ‘Kraven the PETA vigilante.’ Many are hanging on to the idea of a new vegan, Kraven the Hunter, but Taylor-Johnson confirmed that Kraven will still be a hunter in the upcoming movie. He will just be portrayed as an antihero rather than an evil villain.
However, as mad as people may be, this is a huge win for animals and Animal rights activists all over the world. If they change the character even a little to show sympathy for animals and turn him into more of “an animal lover and protector of the natural world,” it would be a great thing. Hunting is unnecessary, exploits, and takes advantage of innocent animals living their lives in their homes.
