When this couple found a deer that had his leg stuck in a fence, they carefully got his leg free and then worked hard to rehabilitate him. @texashorsegirl posted a video of the rescue on TikTok, which racked up over 380,000 likes.

The baby deer got his leg stuck in a metal wire fence, and it looked incredibly painful. The couple rushed and got something to cut the wire and free the deer. They took the deer home, treated him for wounds, and bandaged his leg up. They fed the deer apples and goats milk, which from the looks of it, the deer really loved.

Unfortunately, the baby deer still needed medical attention, and they were not able to find the mother anywhere around so the baby was likely abandoned. The couple is trained and plans to rehabilitate him and finally set him back free when he is strong enough. The couple truly worked hard to give this baby deer a second chance at life!

Here are the full rescue tips that just may come in handy one day, and while you’re at it, sign this petition to demand all states make all animal abuse a felony now!

NOTE: Do not try to help wildlife of any sort unless you are trained. Find a local wildlife rehabber/rescuer or veterinarian ASAP, or call a rescue hotline. Here are some that might help!
