Memorial Day is almost here! It’s a day to remember the men and women who have died while serving our country. It’s also the kickoff day for grilling season.

Enjoy the outdoors on Monday as you fire up the grill and cook up delicious food to share with family and friends. Although cookouts are prone to be meat-laden, start a new, all-vegan barbecue tradition and challenge your family, friends, and even neighbors to make savory recipes without the cruelty.

If you don’t know where to start, how about making these mouthwatering Balsamic BBQ Seitan and Tempeh Ribs or these Authentic Smoked Seitan that resembles Texas brisket?

What will you be barbecuing on the grill for this commemorative day? Here are some Memorial Day-worthy barbecue and grilling recipes to get you started.

Whilst it does look nice - how is a grilled avocado, with roasted tomatoes, raw in any way?

"Raw vegan" is different than "raw". "Raw vegan" means that the food is unprocessed vegan food (such as a grilled avocado and roasted tomatoes [cereals, pastas, chips, etc. are examples of processed vegan foods]) while "raw" would refer to uncooked.

Don't forget peaches as well, like peach cobbler except with out all the added sugar and flower. A scoop of ice cream is your option if you are vegetarian vs. vegan.

Meat products to grill: chicken, pork, beef, maybe some fish or shrimp Veggie friendly products to grill: asparagus, zucchini, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, pineapples, acorn squash, tofu, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, bananas with chocolate (had that yesterday!) Romain lettuce, garlic, bell peppers, jalapenos, eggplant, corn on the cob... not to mention vegan sausage and burgers.
