There are a lot of reasons to love turmeric. Cooking wise, it gives dishes a lovely orange or yellow hue. Health wise, it’s pretty awesome. Ayurvedic medicine has utilized turmeric for thousands of years as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant spice. According to Web MD, the spice is used to help arthritis, heartburn (dyspepsia), stomach pain, diarrhea, intestinal gas, stomach bloating, loss of appetite, jaundice, liver problems and gallbladder disorders. Before using turmeric for health reasons, we recommend consulting with a doctor to talk about how much you should consume each day or week for your ailment. Tumeric is great but I just wish you wouldn't push so much tofu. Because it is NOT healthy. It is made with soy that is Not fermented. And it is one of the biggest reasons that new vegans fail in their meat free quest! Soy is actually very unhealthy for people.

Tempeh is soy! Slightly fermented, so if you don't like tofu you may not want to eat tempeh!
