This smoothie is like sunshine in a glass. Made from bananas, mango, and orange, its tropical flavors are also boosted with anti-inflammatory turmeric. Top this with shredded coconut and cinnamon for simplicity, or get creative with fresh fruit and coconut whipped cream for a breakfast that's more like dessert.

Tropical Turmeric Smoothie [Vegan]

Ingredients

  • 1 orange, peeled
  • 1 fresh banana
  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 2 dates, pitted
  • 1 thumb-sized turmeric, peeled
  • Water, for blending

Preparation

  1. Blend all ingredients until smooth. Only add a little water as needed for blending.

Notes

Add non-dairy milk or coconut butter for extra creaminess.

Carbs are not the enemy...science tells us unequivocally that eating a whole foods plant based diet is what is best for our bodies, will help us lose weight and keep it off in the long term, and what will lower the rates of our top ten killers.
