Celebrate National Milk Day With These 5 Amazing Plant-based Milks!

LIKE OGP ON FACEBOOK :

Happy National Milk Day! Today celebrates the first day where glass-bottled milk was delivered fresh to American doorsteps. The first delivery was made on Jan. 11, 1878 with Lester milk jars – a jar that had a screwed cap and helped keep milk sanitary and fresh, as oppose to previous methods.

We think it’s about time we redefine this day to include the amazing array of plant-based milk choices that are now available. There are so many cruelty-free milk choices out there, including oatcoconuthemprice, and soy. What’s more, according to a report by Packaged Foods, plant-based milk alternatives are rapidly growing in the U.S. market. Worried about getting enough calcium? Read this!

With options, we can make Homemade Coconut Milk and use that homemade milk and others in baking, dishes, or slurp it up with cereal for a healthier, cruelty-free option.

I tried some soy milk and it gave me an irritated burning/itching again sensation in my throat. A friend later said most soy is GMO'ed which generally means it had been drenched in pesticides. So an organic vegetable based milk alternative? Sounds pricey.

I drink cashew milk, flax seed, almond, and coconut milk. Those are high in calcium more than dairy products.

I love almond milk which I recently tasted for the first time after drinking cow milk my entire life. I recently stopped eating meat/dairy as I can no longer partake in the killing/abuse of animals for any reason. I am on a mission to spread the word. I hope you will join me and like my page about being vegan/vegetarian to save animals

God created it for the babies. Human milk for human babies, cows milk for calves. God didn't meant you to drink the milk of another spezies when grown up, and kill the calves! wake up?

Sorry but even Jesus ate meat. Get a life.

Get the book called: "What Did Jesus Eat?" By: Don Colbert. Jesus only ate meat at a feast a couple times a year. The rest of the time, He ate plant based and fish a couple times a week.
