The breading, the fried cheese… does it get any better? This version of gluten-free and vegan mozzarella sticks is pretty darn close to the real thing and takes the edge off during those moments of comfort food cravings. Try them for yourself!


Baked Mozzarella Sticks [Vegan, Gluten-Free]


  • 8-ounces of solid vegan mozzarella 
  • 1 teaspoon tapioca starch
  • 1 egg replacer
  • 1 tablespoon dried garlic and herbs
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Italian spices


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Cut cheese into rectangle shaped sticks.
  3. Whisk together starch, egg replacer, dried garlic, almond flour, and water.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix up breadcrumbs and Italian spices.
  5. Bake at 350°F on a baking sheet for 15 minutes.
  6. Pair with your favorite marinara sauce.
