The feeling of your head throbbing, dizziness and even nausea is not a fun feeling anytime.
Many of us have experienced headaches from stress, allergies, caffeine withdrawal and dehyration, which is usually self inflicted from either not drinking enough fluids or drinking to many fluids!!!
Headaches affect the quality of life and can even be debilitating for some people and are more common then you might think. A girlfriend of mine experiences migrane headaches that last for a few days or even up to a week. Many times they are so bad that she needs to stay in bed with the lights off, even the sight of light can intensify the migrane.
Tension headaches are the most common and they affect more women than men. Hmmm…I wonder why women are experiencing more headaches then men? The World Health Organization have reported that 1 in 20 people in the developed world suffer from a tension headache a day. Migranes are the 2nd most common headache, approx 28 million people in the United States (12%) suffer from migranes. Wow, that is a lot of people walking around with headaches. It gives me a headache just thinking about it.
Most of the time we reach for that bottle of aspirin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen or naproxen to eleviate the pain, but there are many natural ways that can do the trick.
Check out these healing herbs:
