Actos Rainn Wilson, who is best known for his role as Dwight Schrute on the wildly popular television show The Office, has officially announced that he’s adopted a vegan diet, and has even gone so far as to dub himself: “The Fifty Year Old Vegan.” Yes!
‘So about six weeks ago or so, my wife and I decided to try Veganism for a month,’ he wrote.
“We were so dependent on eating animals and animal products, we just wanted to try it. Give our digestive systems a change-up.
“It was TOUGH,” Rainn admitted. “Especially that first week. I wanted a steak and eggs so bad. I felt tired and cranky and hungry all the time, even with the buckets of quinoa I was shoveling into my mouth. Ugh.”
Personally, we love quinoa, but we understand that rehauling you entire can feel like an overwhelming feat if you’re unfamiliar with the abundant world of plant-based food. Luckily, Rainn and his wife, Holiday, noticed benefits two weeks into their new diet.
“I noticed that I had more energy! I was sleeping better and deeper. I didn’t need naps in the afternoon as much. I started to drop some pounds. And, bonus, it’s supposed to be good for the planet,” he wrote.
