Must-Try Seasonal Vegan Desserts From Trader Joe’s for This Holiday Season

LIKE OGP ON FACEBOOK :

It’s the time of the year for warm jackets and scarves, hot chocolate and cookies, holiday movies and fires — it’s the holiday season! For most, the holidays mean time spent with family and friends and lots of food, especially desserts. And there are so many vegan dessert options to choose from at grocery stores all over the United States. One of our favorites, Trader Joe’s offers a multitude of plant-based desserts this holiday season.

1. Cookies

traderjoesvegan/Instagram

Trader Joe’s has many vegan cookies to choose from. Indulge in Brownie Crips, Organic Animal Crackers, Organic Brown Rice Marshmallow Treats, Soft Baked Snickerdoodles, Speculoos Cookies, Chocolatey Cats Cookies, Matcha Joe Joes and Mocha Joe Joes.

Soft Baked Snickerdoodles

The Soft Baked Snickerdoodle cookies from Trader Joe’s are soft, sweet, and chewy, and taste like cinnamon and brown sugar. The top ingredients consist of sorghum flour, brown sugar, date paste, and even pear and grape juice. Warm these cookies up and put them on top of a bowl of Caramel Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, and you have a perfect holiday dessert. A 16 ounce box can be purchased at Trader Joe’s for $2.99.

Speculoos Cookies

The Speculoos Cookies are are a classic European style — they are crispy and thin, and have a gingerbread, cinnamon flavor. Since they are so thin, they are ideal for dipping into tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. If you can’t make it to Trader Joe’s, try making these Ginger Cookies.

2. Pies

No holiday gathering is complete without a warm, delicious pie! Trader Joe’s is offering a variety of plant-based pies this year, such as apple pie and sweet potato marshmallow pie! You could also buy a cherry pie filling if you want to assemble your own pie!

Sweet Potato Marshmallow Pixie Pie Mix

This year, Trader Joe’s is selling a Sweet Potato Marshmallow Pie just in time for the holidays! The package comes with everything you need — packets for the crust, filling, and a creamy marshmallow spread. The crust is flaky and buttery, and the filling consists of moist, velvety sweet potato, and of course the rich, smooth, marshmallow spread on top. The directions call for mixing the filling with water and egg and then baking, but use an egg replacement, and you will be good to go. This Sweet Potato Marshmallow Pie can be purchased for $2.99 at Trader Joe’s. Try making this Sweet Potato Pie at home if you prefer baking from scratch!

Apple Pie

This pie is sweet and cinnamon-y, and is perfect to share with family and friends. Warm it up for a few minutes and add a scoop of French Vanilla Ice Cream, and you have a delicious plant-based dessert to share for the holidays. Don’t want to run out to Trader Joe’s?
