These 10 Dairy-Free Dips Have Hidden Healthy Surprises!

LIKE OGP ON FACEBOOK :

Are you looking for sneaky ways to add veggies to your diet? These dips may surprise you with their healthy kicks! From hidden broccoli and asparagus to superfood spirulina, we went through the Food Monster App and found 10 dips that are not only delicious, but good for you.

1. Roasted Broccoli Pesto With Leeks, Roasted Almond, and Lemon
Vegan Roasted Broccoli Pesto With Leeks, Roasted Almond, and Lemon

While we typically associate pesto with pasta, this Roasted Broccoli Pesto pairs amazingly well with toast for breakfast, on a sandwich, and yes — on pasta, too. It’s rich and nutty from the almonds and roasted leeks, but the abundance of lemon makes it feel fresh. Thinly sliced, spicy radishes pair perfectly with the roasty, lemony flavors.

2. Chickpea Artichoke Ricotta
Vegan Chickpea Artichoke Ricotta

Most dairy-free ricotta recipes are made from tofu or nuts — but if you’re allergic or avoiding those ingredients, you can still get your cheesy fix. This yummy Chickpea Artichoke Ricotta is made from marinated artichoke hearts and chickpeas that have been blended together with garlic, nutritional yeast, tahini, and lemon juice. It fits in perfectly wherever you would use ricotta like in lasagna, stuffed shells, or as a dip.

3. Green Pea Avocado Spread
Vegan Green Pea Avocado Spread

This vibrant Green Pea Avocado Spread has the sweet, refreshing taste of green peas combined with creamy avocado. Not only is it super-healthy, it’s also super-versatile! Use it as a dip for your favorite veggies, add a scoop to your salads, or add it to a wrap.

4. Spirulina Hummus
Vegan Spirulina Hummus

This recipe takes the classic hummus dip and adds a nutritious (and colorful) twist: Spirulina Hummus! This recipe is super easy to whip up, simply add all the ingredients and blend. You can use it as a creamy base for pita wraps or as a dip for toasted chips and veggies. Yum!

5. Lentil Paté
Vegan Lentil Paté

Healthy snacking has never been easier than with this Lentil Paté. This recipe has but two simple steps and uses just five ingredients – lentils, cashew butter, olive oil, garlic, and onion. This dip is hearty and comforting while still being super nutritious! Spread it on bread, use it as a veggie dip, or just eat it by the spoonful!

6. Asparagus and Pepita Pesto
Vegan Asparagus and Pepita Pesto

This Asparagus and Pepita Pesto is totally addicting, and so creamy and good! The pepitas makes the pesto a little crunchy and unique, so be sure to try it out!

7. Broccamole
Vegan Broccomole

Guacamole plus broccoli equals Broccamole. Creamy avocados are mashed with chopped red onions and minced jalapeño peppers. Adding both lemon and lime juice is our citrus secret, and tossing it with steamed broccoli that has been slightly pulsed in the food processor turns an already delicious guacamole into even more delicious broccamole. Garnish with fresh cilantro and grab a bag of chips: after one bite of broccamole, everyone is going to be wishing for their own avocado tree.

8. Easy Protein Guacamole
Vegan Easy Protein Guacamole [Vegan, Gluten-Free, Raw]

This Easy Protein Guacamole is a nice protein-loaded spin on traditional guacamole. Use it as a dip for your fresh veggies, top it up on your veggie burrito, include into your macro bowl or upgrade your usual avocado toast. No matter how you eat this creamy deliciousness you can count on the fact that you are doing your body good.

9. Roasted Eggplant Dip

10. Potato Onion Cheese Spread

Try this unique and fun way to use a potato: as a Potato Onion Cheese Spread! If potatoes on bread seem strange, you should just try it. This spread is super creamy. Incidentally, it tastes best on bread with a crispy crust.
