Don’t leave the market without making your dessert rounds. There will be plenty of options for those with a sweet tooth. For coconut milk ice cream in a variety of flavors, head on over to Over the Moo. They offer up unique flavors from matcha to gingernut cookie. If ice cream isn’t your thing, stop by Treat Dreams vegan bakery for an array of pastries and treats. From chocolates to cookies, you’ll leave this bakery satisfied.
If you can’t make it to the first market, don’t worry. The Sydney Vegan Market plans to open its doors the third Sunday of every month from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Portuguese Community Club.
Make Your Own Vegan Treats at Home!
Learn how to make some of these amazing plant-based dishes right in your own kitchen. Check out these recipes from the Food Monster app to find your new favorite eats and treats.
Try this Jackfruit Philly Cheesesteak by Rhea Parson!
Make your own Jackfruit Philly Cheesesteak by following Rhea Parson’s recipe. It’s amazing how meaty this tropical fruit is. Other than a slight sweet taste, almost like pineapple, the jackfruit is pretty much a blank canvas so you can use whatever spice and flavor panels you like best – Indian, Mexican, Chinese, whatever. For this recipe, make your jackfruit chewy and meaty by roasting on a baking sheet for 15 minutes. Pile it high on heroes, top it with vegan cheddar, and broil the heroes just long enough to melt the cheese.
Learn how to make Mint Matcha Chip Ice Cream!
Use this Mint Matcha Chip Ice Cream recipe by Jennifer Harmon to enjoy your own homemade ice cream. It is remarkable how easy it is to make any flavor combination in under 30 minutes. Grab some organic peppermint extract to add the minty flavor to this recipe. Not only is it easy, but also it’ll quickly become your new summer favorite!
Cook this Curried Potato and Pea Flatbread Wrap!
Check out this Curried Potato and Pea Flatbread Wrap by Preeti Tamilarasan. These flatbread wraps are a spicy and filling meal that can be packed for lunch or served for dinner. The paratha, a doughy, wheat-based Indian flatbread used to make the wrap, is seasoned with pickling spices and stuffed with curried vegetables. Potatoes, peas, and pumpkin, combined with the bread, makes for a meal that won’t leave you hungry.
