English singer, songwriter, and actress Kate Nash showed off her new body on the Netflix series GLOW, which stands for Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. She attributes getting in shape to prepare for her role as Rhonda Richardson to a vegan diet and a special workout routine.
Kate Nash, who was long scrutinized for her weight by the media, explains that “When you’re a woman, you have such a strange relationship with your body (especially when you’re in the public eye) because you’re constantly being judged.”
Nash decided to make some changes to her life by completely undergoing a diet transformation and a new exercise regime that has made her feel confident and empowered.
So what are her workout and dietary secrets? Nash swears by a vegan diet and wrestling. It all started when she made a deal with the universe to go vegetarian in order to save her pet bunny during an operation. Cutting out meat made her realize how powerful her mind truly was and allowed her to explore her mental health. Going vegan after that was a piece of cake. Nash has been vegan for over a year now and says she’s feeling better than ever.
Nash also wholeheartedly recommends wrestling for exercise. She says that it is the perfect form of physical exertion for those who are feeling down. Wrestling has transformed her body, and she finds it to be a completely liberating experience. Nash said that, “When we’re wrestling (on set), I’m not even thinking about my physical appearance which is rare.”
Kate Nash is truly undergoing her own physical and mental transformations for no one other than herself, and that is truly an inspiring thing to witness.
