These 10 Restaurants are Hosting Vegan New Year’s Parties!

It’s almost 2018, and research shows that eating vegan is set to be one of the biggest eating trends of the new year, which gives us more reason to celebrate! You might be planning on going downtown this New Year’s Eve, or maybe you’re just staying in and ordering takeout. If you are still deciding on your New Year’s festivities, check out this list of 10 restaurants across the United States that are holding all-vegan dinner parties to ring in the new year!

1. Candle 79, New York City, NY

Candle 79, an upscale plant-based restaurant in New York City, is holding a New Years Eve dinner party this year. The menu consists of appetizers like spinach ravioli and grilled artichoke, and entrees like truffle-pan seared seitan, house made gnocchi, vegetable lasagna, and porcini-rosemary crusted tempeh. For dessert, guests can indulge in sweet potato pie, live cashew cream pie, chocolate ancho dumplings, and a housemade ice cream sampler. If you plan on staying in this New Years, try making this Potato Gnocchi and Sweet Potato Pecan Pie.

2. Virtuous Pie, Portland, Oregon

A vegan pizza and ice cream joint, Virtuous Pie, is holding a 100 percent plant-based feast this New Years Eve. The dinner will consist of three courses. Guests can prepare to indulge in; celeriac and potato croquetta, farro risotto, seared romanesco, and more! If you can’t make it to Oregon, try out this recipe for ‘Cheesy’ Potato Croquetta.

Virtuous Pie is located at 1126 Southeast Division Street #200, Portland, Oregon 97202. Tickets are $40 each, and all proceeds go to Call to Safety Portland, which is a non-profit organization that works to end domestic and sexual violence.

3. The Block Off Biltmore, Asheville, North Carolina

This year, The Block Off Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina is holding a ReggaeInfinity Celebration to ring in the New Year. The restaurant will be serving up a plant-based Caribbean feast from Wadadli Dessert Oasis, which will include plaintains, ducanna, collards, and salads! Dinner will start at 8 PM, and there will be live music starting at 10 PM. 4. Sunflower Cafe, Sandy Springs, Georgia

New Years Eve comes early this year at Sunflower Cafe, since they are holding their New Years Eve feast on December 30th. The dinner will be an all-you-can-eat buffet style, with so many options to choose from. Guests can try avocado salad, pot stickers, sesame soy chicken, samosas, chickpea cakes, and more. The dinner will be from 5 PM- 9 PM, and is $38 for adults, and $16 for kids. Sunflower Cafe is located at 5975 Roswell Road

5. Hangawi, New York City, New York

This year, Hangawi, located in the heart of New York City, is holding an all vegan New Years Eve party. To start, diners can try vegetarian shabu shabu, crispy kimchi pancakes with baby bok choy and mixed greens. For an entree, guests can choose between spicy grilled todok sticks or mixed mushroom bulgogi. If you can’t make it to the big city, try out this recipe for Kimchi Pancakes instead!

The New Years Eve dinner at Hangawi is $70 per person. The restaurant is located at 12 East 32nd Street, New York, New York 10016.

6. Sprig and Vine, New Hope, Pennsylvania

Sprig and Vine, an all vegan restaurant located in downtown New Hope, is hosting a six-course, plant-based feast this year. The courses will be; pickled vegetables, squash puree with gold beet, red quinoa, and frisee, butternut squash and fregola, exotic mushroom, leek and french lentil ragout, and lastly, something sweet that has yet to be decided. This New Years Eve feast is $75 per person, and will be located at Sprig and Vine, 450 Union Square Drive, New Hope, Pennsylvania 18938.

7. Sanctuary Bistro, Berkeley, California

Sanctuary Bistro, located in Berkeley, California, is having a nine-course vegan feast this New Years Eve! The menu consists of items like; yuba bacon wrapped asparagus with a balsamic drizzle, french lentil and chard stew with a sunny sided tofu egg, lemon peppercorn cashew chèvre, among many other tasty entrees. This dinner costs $95 and is located at Sanctuary Bistro, 1019 Camelia Street, Berkeley, California 94710.

8. V-Eats, Dallas, Texas

V-Eats is a plant-based restaurant that’s throwing a New Years Eve vegan bash this year, and the menu items sound delicious! Guests can try the french onion soup with toasted mozzarella crostini to start, crispy lemon pepper chicken for a main course, and chocolate rum cake for dessert— yum! 9. Fire ‘n’ Spice, Hartford, Connecticut

The menu will consist of an amuse bouche platter, vegan cassolette, pasta bolognaise, and there will be a surprise Christmas log for dessert.
