With the sweltering heat of the summer persuasively turning our attention towards rehydration from iced drinks, fresh fruits, and veggies, quality proteins can often miss the plate. You can easily solve this problem by blending mixed plant based proteins into a refreshing smoothie!
This Tropical Pina Colada Vega Energizing smoothie has 10g of multi-source plant protein sourced from brown rice, hemp, pea protein, and Savi Seeds (sacha inchi seeds). The benefit of ingesting multi-source plant-based proteins is increased digestibility and increased bio-availability of essential amino acids. By combining several protein sources together you get a more complete protein profile into your diet, leading to healthier and stronger you in the summer months.
This recipe takes a classic vacation drink and adds a healthy Vega twist. The addition of coconut water allows for an excellent ratio of electrolytes needed to keep the body hydrated. This shake recipe gives you all the top simple summer smoothie components; electrolytes- hydration, amino acids- protein and seasonal fruit- healthy and refreshing!
