Avocado makes a perfect base for a creamy dip, and the flavor of fresh basil really pops to make an incredibly tasty dip that everyone will love. This dip pairs perfectly with cucumber slices, roasted cauliflower, sweet potato fries, toasted pita chips or any other dippable food.

Not only is this a really tasty dip, but it's also really healthy so you can dip to your heart's content. Avocado is a great source of healthy monounsaturated fats and nutrients like folate. Basil has about 30% of your daily intake of vitamin K in just the 1/4 cup in this recipe. Using fresh, whole plant foods means this dip is full of antioxidants and totally absent of cholesterol or trans fats.

So you can feel free to pile each bite with a big mound of this dip - in fact, you may want to make a double batch. Or maybe a triple... The only downside is that it doesn't keep very well, so you have to make sure you eat it all up while it's fresh.

The good news is that it's really easy to make, so you can easily whip this up before a St Patrick's day party to go with all your other green snacks and drinks. And if you run out, you can quickly make yourself another batch.
