You may have a goal this year to go vegan, or eat more plant-based foods. You can always stick with simple dishes and snacks, like pasta and sauce or hummus and chips, but maybe it’s time to learn some new interesting recipes! If you feel like getting creative in the kitchen but aren’t sure where to start, try out a vegan cooking class! Check out this list below of 11 plant-based cooking classes coming to cities in the US in 2018! We’ve even included some recipes from the Food Monster App.
1. Casually Extreme Vegan Cooking Class, Brooklyn, New York
If you are find yourself in the big apple, head over to the Casually Extreme Vegan Cooking Class in Brooklyn this January. The class will be held by Whitney Scott, a holistic health coach and vegan chef, and will be 100 percent plant-based. The class will demonstrate how to make delicious vegan dishes in a simple, and fun way! The event will take place on Saturday, January 20th, from 3 PM until 6 PM. Tickets are $50 each. 2. The Refined Cook Culinary Series: Vegan Asian, Dedham, Massachusetts

This March, the Refined Cook Culinary Series is holding cooking class where guests can learn how to make delicious, plant-based Asian food! Class goers can plan on making fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, squash soup with scallions, sautéed petite shanghai bok choy with sesame seeds and pandan coconut jelly! Everything made will be gluten-free, too! This class will take place on Saturday, March 10th, from 6:30 PM until 9 PM. Tickets are $95 per person. 3. Savory Vegan Cooking Class, Los Angeles, California
Looking for a plant-based cooking class in the Los Angeles area? Check out this Savory Vegan Cooking Class, coming to Los Angeles this January! The menu will consist of wilted spinach salad, sautéed root vegetables in wine reduction, and a Moroccan chickpea stew! The beginning of the class will be an introduction to the health benefits of a plant-based diet, and then guests can get to the cooking, in this lively and fun class! This event will take place on Sunday, January 7th, from 9 AM until 10:30 AM. Tickets are $30, and you must be at least 14 years of age to participate. 4. Vegan Cooking Class, Stafford, Virginia
If you find yourself in Virginia this January, check out this Vegan Cooking Class held by Natural L4W. The class is perfect for beginners, and guests will learn how to make easy plant-based meals and dishes, as well as the principles behind meal planning, and vegan cooking. 5. Vegan Soul Food Cooking Class, Atlanta, Georgia
This year, there will be a Vegan Soul Food Cooking Class in Atlanta, Georgia, where guests can learn how to make brunch dishes like a delicious maple mushroom bacon and omelette! Can this class be in every city?! The demonstration will be led by Chef Zu, a vegan chef who focuses on health and wellness, from Kings Apron. The event will be held on Monday, January 15th, from 3 PM until 5 PM, and will cost $40 per person. 6. Clean Vegan Eating, San Antonio, Texas

If you plan on eating vegan in the Lonestar State, check out this Clean Vegan Eating Class coming to San Antonio this January! The class will be led by Executive Chef of Green Vegetarian Cuisine, Mike Behred, and will be focused on clean eating. The class will go over ways to make your plant-based recipes tasty, convenient, and healthy! People who attend this event will receive a $5 gift card to two plant-based restaurants in San Antonio- Green Vegetarian Cuisine, and Bok Choy. This sounds like a dream! 7. Plant-Based/Gluten-Free Food Demo, New York City, New York
This January, Heidi’s Health Kitchen is holding a Plant-Based/Gluten-Free Food Demo in New York City- and it’s free! The class will go over how to create raw food dishes, as well as how to replace animal products with plant-based protein, and how to increase your consumption of fruits and vegetables! There will be 3-4 vegan or raw vegan meals prepared for each guest, and delicious and healthy vegan and gluten-free foods will also be available for purchase. The class will take place on Sunday, January 14th, from 10 AM until 11:45 AM. You can always try out this recipe for, Raw Cocoa Vanilla Swiss Roll, which is also gluten-free, pictured above!
8. Vegan Cooking Class for Beginners, Crown Point, Indiana
If you are new to a vegan lifestyle, this Vegan Cooking Class for Beginners, held by Lelulo’s Vegan Eats and Treats, is the perfect class for you! This class will teach guests the basics of plant-based fare, and will be interactive and educational! This event will be held on Sunday, January 28th, from 9 AM until 12 PM, and tickets are $75 per person. 9. Vegan Cooking: Mexican Food Favorites, Boise, Idaho
Planning on being in Idaho this January? Head over to the capital, and check out the Vegan Cooking Class where guests can learn how to make Mexican food favorites! Guests will be making chili-lime salad, stuffed poblano peppers, and rice pudding for dessert— when is this class happening again?! 10. Plant-Based Cooking and Nutrition Class, Washington D.C.
A Plant-Based Cooking and Nutrition Class is coming to the nation’s capital this February, and it’s going to show guests how they can kickstart their health for the new year. The class will show the health-promoting benefits of a vegan diet, along with an easy and practical approach to eating more plants! The recipes demonstrated will use common ingredients like; fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains! This class will take place on Saturday, February 3rd, from 11 AM until 1 PM, and costs $35 per person. You can also try making this Cleansing Detox Soup!
11. Cooking Class: Vegan Buddha Bowls, Clearwater, Florida

This January, you can learn how to create your own buddha bowls at a cooking class in Florida, being put on by Nature’s Food Patch. Buddha bowls are easy to make, and can consist of so many delicious, different toppings! This class will provide all the fixings to take buddha bowls to the next level. This event will be held on Wednesday, January 10th, from 6:30 PM until 7:30 PM. It is free, but you have to call or visit customer care to sign up.
