VegWeek is a U.S. nationwide campaign, run by Compassion over Killing. The campaign is a week-long pledge to go meat-free, just to start out with, in hopes of showing participants how good they’ll feel afterward. Celebrities like Mya and Alicia Silverstone fully endorse this campaign, urging more than 16,000 people to sign up and take the pledge.
“That’s the idea behind VegWeek, a nationwide (and increasingly international) campaign empowering thousands of people to pledge to choose vegetarian foods for at least seven days as a way to discover the many benefits and flavors of vegetarian eating.” The website states.
Do you think that you could take the pledge? It might feel a bit overwhelming to think of at first, but we’re always here to ease the transition.
