Hooray! A massive vegan festival, Vegan Playground, is the latest veggie fest to hit Los Angeles. The event’s organizers, Vegan Hard, says that the event will be held in an “outdoor oasis, encompassing one square block- over 100,000 sq. feet of hard-scape and park grass, surrounded by the LA city skyline.” Vegan Playground is a festival that’s intended to unite food, art, and music lovers.
The festival, arriving on June 18th, will host 80 vendors which showcase companies from every avenue; vegan food, clothing, charity stalls, beer, wine, kombucha, and cider. There will also be live performances, art shows and installations, a roller rink for extra fun, and an actual playable playground.
As veganism continues to grow, so will this major interest in the lifestyle and all things that surround it. Not only do these events cater to vegans and vegetarians, but for people wanting to explore it, or have allergies and other dietary needs.

Here are our favorite plant-based beverages.
If you can’t fly out to Los Angelos, opt for some of these homemade beverages.
This Ginger Lime Kombucharita will make you feel like you’ve just arrived in California. The base of tequila, lime, and triple sec remains the same but the beverage is augmented with ginger kombucha, which provides a slight tang of fermentation and the spicy notes of ginger on the back end of the drink give it more depth and complexity than its predecessor.
This Fermented Fire Cider recipe is super easy to double or even triple. Don’t worry about exact proportions, just get some big jars and stuff each one full of this stuff and in a month you will have Fire Cider! Perfect for a warm day outside, in a park or at a festival.
This Turmeric Glow Lemonade is a game-changer, mostly because it’s so lemony and a little bit spicy with a touch of sweetness. Refreshing and thirst-quenching like no other. You can mix this up in 30 seconds and drink it right away. So refreshing.
