About EZ Tofu Press: The white press plates on the EZ Tofu Press are made of HDPE (high density polyethylene), approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use with food. Each press plate is cut using a CNC milling machine for exact size and hole configuration. The bolts, nuts, and washers are made of food grade stainless steel. Using the EZ Tofu Press is simple, the tension knobs, push the press plate down and squeeze water from tofu. There are no springs required and therefore no springs to wear out! By washing on the top rack or by hand, the EZ Tofu Press should provide many years and provide great taste. Watch the video below:

The One Green Planet Verdict: We tried out the EZ Tofu Press and were impressed with how well it dried our tofu!

We tried the tofu press for both a large and a small block of tofu. For the smaller block of tofu, the water was drained within about 5 minutes. For the larger block of tofu, we let it drain for about 10 to 15 minutes. The directions recommend tightening the knobs every 2 to 4 minutes for the most efficient drying time.

The press is very user-friendly.  Simply loosen the knobs, place your tofu in between the two white plates, tighten the knobs, and place sideways on top of a plate.  To clean, you can either hand wash it or put it in the top rack of the dishwasher.

The tofu press is great for any recipe you would like to use firm or extra firm tofu for. Without all of that excess water, the tofu is able to soak up extra flavor and doesn’t get watered down. Try it for scrambles, burritos, making ricotta “cheese”, or just about anything!

  1. The EZ Tofu Press would make my life easier because I Heart tofu! I can eat it all day every day all day and this will help me to get rid of all the extra water and will be able to enjoy more flavor that I am unable to do it now!

The EZ Tofu Press would make my life easier because I love tofu but HATE getting it ready to cook!

The EZ Tofu Press would make my life easier because using a pot (and trying to balance canned goods in it to weigh it down) is not the most effective (or neat) way to press tofu.

The EZ tofu press would make my life easier because it would cut down the amount of effort it takes to make delicious pan fried tofu!

  7. avatar Midge says:

The EZ Tofu Press would make my life easier because it will save me time preparing awesome tofu dishes, and I wouldn’t have to worry about my small (but heavy) pot, which I currently use to get the water out, accidentally sliding into the floor and hitting my foot :)

  9. avatar Cher Miller says:

The E-Z tofu press would make my life easier because I wouldn’t have to try balancing canned goods or bowls or bottles of water on my tofu to drain it while shooing curious little children away :-P

  10. avatar Briana says:

The EZ Tofu Press would make my life easier because tofu might finally become an enjoyable experience! I’m new to veg, but I have tried multiple times to make tofu dishes and they always come out lacking because I just never press enough the old fashioned way! I mean how many paper towels will I save by using this tool? A TON! With the EZ Tofu Press, I’ll finally be able to show my family that tofu can be delicious because with my track record, they are really doubting it!

  11. avatar saniel says:

The EZ Tofu Press would make my life easier because it would be easier to use than a papertowel and my hands. very messy and does not take all the excess water out. thanks

  12. avatar Eric Risner says:

“The EZ Tofu Press would make my life easier because it would be very convenient and something else to try.”

  13. avatar Dawn A. says:

The EZ Tofu Press would make my life easier because I’ve just adopted a vegan diet and haven’t really ventured into tofu recipes since hand draining seems so cumbersome. A press would really help!

  14. avatar Jessica C says:

The EZ Tofu Press would make my life easier because I’m vegan & work with tofu constantly. I don’t want to waste paper towels getting the moisture out of my tofu so I usually wind up hand pressing – which just does not work!

    Thanks so much! ☺
