About Essential Eating Sprouted Foods: The new line of Essential Eating food products includes pastas, cereals and pretzel puffs. They are made with just one ingredient: Essential Eating Sprouted, Certified Organic & Kosher, 100% whole grain flour that digests as a vegetable. These guilt-free carbs offer an easily digestible food product that also tastes amazing and is truly good for you!
The One Green Planet Verdict: We boiled all four pastas and found them to be a great alternative to refined wheat pastas!
All of the pastas cook in a convenient 4-6 minutes. Unlike a lot of whole wheat pastas, these sprouted whole grain pasta noodles do not come out of the pot with a chewy texture. The noodles are tender to the bite. Just as versatile as regular pasta noodles, you can get as casual or as sophisticated with them as you like. No time for a fancy meal? In under 10 minutes you can have a delicious pasta dish just by boiling the noodles and adding your favorite jar of pasta sauce.
There is nothing fake about these noodles. They boast that they contain zero cholesterol, lactose, trans fats, added sugars, and also no trace of any additives, food coloring, chemicals, additives, or enrichment. And with 57g of whole grains in each serving, that’s something you can feel great about!

Sprouted Whole Grain Goodness!
Italian food is one of my favorite cuisines and I give my full endorsement for the Sprouted Whole Grain Pasta! I tried the elbows and it was super easy and fast to prepare. I added a little olive oil and sea salt while boiling and when I drained the pasta, each elbow was seperate and picture perfect. The best part is that this pasta is nutritious, vegan, cholesterol-free and not starchy. Besides Italian food, I could surely hook myself up with a nice n' cool macaroni salad as well.
We cooked up some of our pasta tonight. It was great! It was tasty, easy to prepare and didn't leave me with the heavy feeling that most whole wheat pastas do. Happy to find a substitute for my favorite pasta dishes that is easy on my digestive system.
