Social media has served as a means to connect with friends and family across continents, helping people make new friends and become more knowledgeable about our world. Unfortunately, it is also being used by those with cruel intentions, as in the case of a recent video posted to a social media site showing a woman slamming her dog against a wall in her bedroom. Whatever the reason for choosing to carry out such a horrific act, this woman absolutely needs to be held accountable! A Care2 petition has been set up to push the Chard Police in the UK to pursue justice on the dog’s behalf and protect others against possible violence by this individual in the future.

The victim was a small black and white Terrier mix who was clearly terrified as he was repeatedly thrown with force. The poor dog tried desperately to scramble away but was unable to escape. It’s a heartbreaking video which makes you wonder if she can be this evil on camera, what is happening off camera?

The footage garnered thousands of views on Facebook, prompting police to visit the residence, where they removed the dog in question along with three other dogs. They are now in the care of the RSPCA, which is great to hear, but what about the heartless woman who apparently thinks it’s ok to hurt an innocent animal? Sign the petition to encourage the Chard police to take this matter seriously before any more harm is done to animals or potentially, people.

Numerous studies have shown that people who intentionally abuse animals are statistically likely to also harm people. We can’t allow heartless individuals to live comfortably without paying for their actions while innocent lives are at risk! It’s impossible to comprehend how anyone could be so cruel, malicious, and heartless. Sadly, these people are out there, and we depend on law enforcement to protect the innocent and punish offenders. The woman in question needs to be charged with animal cruelty and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
