Dogs are humans’ best friends, and when dogs suffer, their loving caretakers suffer too. When this happens, animal lovers will go to great lengths to help their beloved animal companions, and a woman from London is doing just that.

Dolly-Ann Osterloh’s dog Snoopy is a rescued Yorkie-Chi from New Jersey who made it across the pond to live with Osterloh in her flat in Central London. Sadly, Snoopy has been diagnosed with Mitral Valve Disease, a condition common in small dogs that affects the heart and results in a shortened lifespan. Snoopy has only been given a few months to live, and his only hope for survival is a costly surgery that will amount to over $12,000.

Here is Snoopy with the medications he has to take for his condition.

Osterloh states, “I have done everything to raise the money. I took a bank loan, I scraped all my life-savings, I am running a Gofundme campaign and asked family for help. My partner even created a video game to raise further awareness. Right now I am £9,000 short of my goal and if I don’t raise the money before Sept 18 then he won’t get his surgery slot.”

In order to raise the funds for Snoopy’s surgery, Osterloh is doing something entirely selfless – she is selling everything she owns to save her dog’s life. From clothing to furniture, she is willing to sell anything in her home except for Snoopy of course. On September 8th, she will be live-streaming the sale here, where people from anywhere in the world can participate.

I have included Snoop in our prayers
I know what you are going through.
We had 2 lil chis and a min pin with same condition and surgery was over 24K and that was back in the 1980\'s.
Thankfully I had enoucgh cash value in my life insurance to get a loan to pay for most their surgery and meds.
They only had 6 months to 18 months of life.
I will tell you I felt so bad doing that to them.
When my St Bernard Sabrina had to have cancer surgery (mastectomy), that cost me 6k.
When the vet wanted to do chemo at 600 a week. I said no as I saw what chemo does to dogs and people.
He then said go find another vet.
Well Sabrina lived for 2 yrs, actually gained weight and died on Christmas Eve 2011 her big heart just gave out she was 12 yrs old which is old for a Saint Bernard.
I pray Snoop will get better but be prepared for his leaving you to go to the Rainbow Bridge.
My brother Al is there he died 9 17 16 and will keep an eye on Snoopy till its your time to join him which will be many years.

Best wishes and prayers
