Three rescued Siberian tigers – Tania, May, and Antoun – have finally set off on the most wonderful journey of their lives. Well, there will be no beautiful sights on the way there for the wild cats, but the destination is what makes it so one of a kind – the tigers are moving to their new home, a sanctuary in France.

All three tigers are victims of animal trafficking. Four months ago, they were transported from Ukraine to Lebanon, where they were stuck at the airport for seven days. Finally, a decision from the Council of Ministers changed the future for the animals forever, and it was decided that they should be freed and remain in the care of Animals Lebanon until they could be sent to a sanctuary. The beautiful cats received the eager support of the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Saad Hariri, who even said goodbye to the tigers before they flew to Paris!

It took a lot of preparations, rushing, and getting all the necessary permits and approvals – but, finally, the three tigers were set on the plane. We couldn’t be happier for the beginning of their new life in a place where they will receive all the respect, love, and professional care they deserve.
