Two dogs were in the right place at the right time recently. The emaciated pups walked into the Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital and waited to be seen with the rest of the patients. The dogs looked starved and tired as they walked in, with one of the canines curling up underneath the secretaries’ desk.
The dogs walked through the glass doors at ten o’clock last Friday morning and received care from Dr. Jim Cato and his staff. According to Jim, the dogs were, “obviously starved and completely exhausted”
The Gulf Coast Human Society agreed to take the dogs in if they could get a ride to the shelter so Dr. Cato placed the dogs in the 3News van and they were brought to their temporary home.
The puppies will be seen by a vet at the facility and will be ready for adoption in a few short weeks. It’s good to see that our medical service providers show compassion for all of the world’s creatures!
