Check out this unbelievable video footage! A man hugs and pets a pride of African lions, and they affectionately lick him in return. But it’s not all fun and games…
The African lion population has decreased nearly 50 percent over the past 22 years, with fewer than 40,000 remaining today. Last March, a coalition of wildlife groups filed a petition with the U.S. Department of the Interior to list African lions as endangered under the U.S. Endangered Species Act. The ESA listing is still under review, meaning the species remains unprotected.
Want to help? Take action now by urging the Interior Secretary to list African lions under the Endangered Species Act!
