Below is an endearing video of Shiro, a Siberian Husky who cannot seem to withstand not holding her owner’s hand while the two travel to her owner’s parents’ house (It’s where she’s left to play while the owner goes to work for a few hours).
It is not entirely a case of car anxiety, as we learned, but possibly more of a separation anxiety. Her owner, who is also a stick shift driver, says on the YouTube channel that Shiro “does this when I go on this specific route, she knows that I will be leaving her for a few hours to go to work.” It started when Shiro was 9 months old, approximately early this year.
