This adorable seal pup, born with rare brownish-red fur, blue eyes and pink flippers was abandoned by his mother, shunned by other seals and left to fend for himself.

The rare albino seal (who is nearly blind) was discovered by photographer Anatoly Strakhov in Russia’s Tyuleniy Island.

We’re happy to report that staff from a nearby aquarium rescued the lonely seal and have taken it into their care.

Good news, the pup has been adopted by a delphinarium in Sochi, Russia. Her new name is Naphania – Нафаня and if you Google her name in Russian you will find her new site! :-)

I am heartbroken for this little pup. I am so glad that he is being well taken care of and will never feel rejection again. I am sure that this pup has people who love him and care about him from every corner of the planet and we all wish him the best of luck in what we all hope will be a long happy life.
