We don’t typically think of forming friendships with farm animals the same way we do with dogs and cats, yet this video, taken at the New Jersey branch of Farm Sanctuary, shows another side to these four-legged friends. As we can see, goats, just like the animals we share our homes with, are emotional beings, capable of affection and giving awesome snuggles!
Little Levi, the goat in the video, was very shy when he arrived at Farm Sanctuary and took to hiding behind his friends and keeping to himself. But when this compassionate 10-year-old, Maggie, began reading in Levi’s stall, there was an instant connection. Now, Levi is outgoing and loves spends time with his humans and pals!
We can all learn something from the kindness and genuine love Maggie has for animals, and her willingness to get to know Levi and help him adjust to life in the sanctuary. Animals of all kinds can be warm and cuddly, and every animal deserves a chance to be loved! You can read more about Levi and follow his adventures at The Daily Squeal.
