Target is everyone’s favorite one-stop shop, and their latest treats from the frozen aisle have us liking the store even more. Target has hit a bullseye with their release of seven new vegan ice creams under their own brand Archer Farms!

The frozen desserts have an almond milk base and are filled with add-ins like cookie dough, fudge, and peanut butter truffles. The seven flavors are: Vanilla Cake & Cookie Dough, Mocha Almond Fudge, Caramel Brownie, Peanut Butter & Chocolate, Strawberry & Fudge, Cashew Caramel, and Vanilla Bean. So there’s something for everyone!

The new ice creams are sold in 16-ounce containers and retail for $3.59 each. And although this is exciting news, this is not at all the first time the retail giant has tapped into the plant-based food space. Their ice cream section is already filled with vegan options from large mainstream brands like Ben & Jerry’s and Häagen-Dazs, as well as plant-based brands like So Delicious and Cado Desserts. Target also carries a wide selection of meat and dairy alternatives from brands like Gardein and Ripple, including protein powders and shakes from Ripple that are exclusively available at Target stores.

With their latest release of vegan ice creams, it seems the plant-based trend has proven to be very successful for the company, which is a promising sign of where the future of food is headed — away from harmful meat and dairy and toward life-saving, Earth-saving plants. It is great to see a retailer as large as Target provide such an abundance of plant-based options to the masses, showing that going plant-based can be convenient, delicious, and affordable.
