We’ve seen video footage before of the animal rescue organization, Hope for Paws, doing what they do best: saving animals in need. Now, here is another inspiring story from our friends. Check out Biggie’s River Rescue Mission.

A community of people were feeding an abandoned dog that was trapped in the Los Angeles river. When Hope for Paws received the urgent phone call about this pup, they rushed over. However, the environment posed a bit of a roadblock as there was no access in or out of the river for several miles. Rescuers certainly needed to put on their thinking caps in order to figure out a way to save the dog.

With a little quick thinking, they tied together a broken ladder with a leash and put it down the 20-foot drop. They also had to string down a cage. One volunteer climbed down, and though the dog was hesitant at first, eventually he warmed up to the kindhearted savior. Finally, they got him into the cage, hoisted it up and got the dog to safety.
