Subway Launches New Vegan Patty

Select Subway restaurants throughout Canada have recently started selling an all-vegan patty called the “Totally Vegged” vegetable patty.

The animal rights organization Compassion Over Killing (COK) deserves credit for this development. They launched the WeLoveSubway.com campaign, which has been asking consumers to reach out to Subway, urging the company to add vegan options.

The vegan patty is currently only available in select locations in Canada, but COK believes that with enough positive feedback from consumers eager to see this option available everywhere, the company may decide to expand all of its menus.
