A very special senior dog named Duncan is living his remaining days safe, warm, and loved thanks to another kind person who called Hope for Paws. Duncan had wandered into a junkyard and if it weren’t for a compassionate worker that noticed the sweet boy, he would have been picked up by animal control. Thankfully, Lisa Arturo and JoAnn Wiltz made it their mission to get the Pit Bull off the streets.

Duncan looked so worried and confused during the entire rescue process but eventually cooperated. Once he was taken to the vet, it was discovered he was suffering from dehydration, periodontal disease, ulcers, tumors, skin infections, and was completely blind.

Thankfully, he has been receiving treatment and was also given a nice warm bath, which always seems to lift the spirits of homeless dogs.

Currently, Duncan is enjoying his new life in a wonderful foster home, where he even has a favorite napping spot in the laundry basket. This sweet boy has had a tough life, and regardless of how much time he has left, he deserves to have a home to call his own.
