Whoever called Animal Aid about this poor dog is truly an angel. The pain, fear, and hopelessness she must have felt is nothing short of heartbreaking, but thank goodness the wonderful rescuers at Animal Aid changed all that. Pauline’s transformation will lift your spirits and remind you that there are still people out there willing to stand up for those in need.

When they first found this sweet girl, the situation was extreme. Her entire head was swollen due to a deep wound in her throat that was infested with maggots. The rescuers acted quickly to get her to the hospital and begin the life-saving treatment she desperately needed. Pauline’s recovery started with pain medication and exterminating the maggots. Her wound was then cleaned and bandaged to begin the healing process. After just five weeks, it was clear that this old girl still had plenty life to live and we are so happy that regardless of age, she was given the best possible care.

These days, Pauline is all smiles and has a pep in her step that will warm your heart! With the many (and growing) street dogs Animal Aid cares for, support from compassionate animal lovers is what allows them to continue saving innocent animals like Pauline.

My heart breaks every time I read these stories and it is no wonder I and so many other people prefer animals to humans ... who in the world, what creature is so cruel and sick that they would allow a dog to suffer like that ? Thank God for these rescue organizations .. I think I will start sending them my donations that used to go to people .. animals need it more I think.

She did not even look like the same dog after she healed. Animal Aid is on mental list for donations.

It warms my heart to see people that can offer aid to a poor helpless animal. I have three rescue cats (I never even liked cats) two that I found on the street and one from a pound. I\'ve had them for about 12 years and spent thousands for their health and well being. They are now in their senior years now and I almost lost one just a week ago, when he had a stroke. But 1K later he is better. I wish people would realize that if you can "solve a problem don\'t create one" get your animals fixed. Thanks to these wonderful people at "Animal Aids" you save a life that is worth saving, unlike a lot of the humans on this planet.
