Little PAWS Rescue is a non-profit organization in Perth, Australia that specializes in rescuing small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs. The above video shows one of the organization’s rescued rabbits having an absolute blast sparring with her fuzzy bobble toy. (Make sure the sound is on for full effect!)
Although we could watch this bunny throw tiny punches all day long, we must remember the grim fate many domesticated rabbits face, particularly during springtime. With Easter approaching, many people think it is a fun idea to surprise their children with real live animals like baby rabbits and chickens. Some even go so far as dyeing the fur of these bunnies to match the Easter basket. After the novelty of the baby animal wears off and the responsibility of caring for a rabbit sets in, which is often very difficult, many of these young animals find themselves abandoned at shelters.
If you or someone you know are thinking of getting baby animals as presents for Easter, please reconsider and opt for stuffed animal toys instead.
