The Kangaroo Sanctuary Alice Springs, located in Central Austraila, was established to be a refuge for all kangaroos that cannot be released into the wild. Today, the rescue’s mission is also to save, rehabilitate, and release orphaned baby kangaroos. Known as the “Kangaroo Dundee,” the kangaroo’s caretaker Brolga, rescues orphaned baby kangaroos and raises them at the sanctuary.

One memorable rescue was of Abi, who was found as a tiny baby orphan 11 years ago. It may have been over a decade, but Abi hasn’t forgotten the person who saved her. In fact, she loves to give hugs to Brolga.

As you can see in the above video, Brolga gets down on his knees and Abi instantly goes into his arms. Abi gives her human friend lots of gentle caresses, as she wraps her little hands around him for a hug. Adorable!

If you know someone who might need a smile today, sending them this video will surely do the trick. To learn more about the Kangaroo Sanctuary and the roos in their care, click here.

Thank you soooo much for the beautiful and uplifting video, showing clearly the love between Brolga and this grateful kangaroo. Methinks this video should be offered to the world - more evidence of the amazing capacity of all animals to respond to and give love. A thousand thank you\'s !!!
